In the first three years of his career Reed was a SS, and a better SS then than Polumalu is now. Reed's true prime was back in 03-05. He was a BEAST in 2004. 9 picks for 348 yards on returns! He made a huge comeback in 08, but he was great in 06 too. Watch the 06 Divisional game against the Colts, Ed Reed was EVERYWHERE. Polumalu might have more rings, and might more tackles in run support (which Reed used to all the time early in his career), but Ed Reed is by far the better player overall.
