I first met George Strempel at San Onofre in 1987 and we have remained friends to this day. I wanted to see if I could still surf after a 15 year exit and living in Idaho. Sort of a long commute but it was my good fortune to meet up with George at San Onofre in 87. It's great to see the history of surfing saved in this video/oral history effort.
