I was agreeing with your statement that teaching the necessity of showing evidence of good works is not a mixture of law and grace. That yes, we are saved by faith, but as James (the Lord's brother) wrote, faith that does not give evidence by good works is dead, being alone.
Was that not the point you were making?

there is no mixture of law and grace, because the new covenant started at the Cross when Jesus died.
Do not forget that Jesus was born, lived, preached and taught mostly under the law He fulfilled as our representative.
How can you explain that Jesus said that if we do not forgive others God will not forgive us and Paul teaches that we have to forgive others because God had already forgive us?
Does the Bible contradict Itself? hmmm...

@777cata True indeed. What it sounds like when I watch many of the videos by those who refuse to call Jesus "Lord" is that they want to continue in their old lifestyle, and tack Jesus on to the end of their life (The "Fire Insurance Principle").
