@Bl1nd3y3 This is on the 180 Classic Cartoons DVD, 350 Classic Cartoons DVD, and the Giant 600 Cartoon Collection DVD. If you want to buy them, you can always go to Amazon.com. That's where I got my copies from.

Do you have this as a DVD for sale? I'd totally purchase that. Been looking everywhere for a chance to own this again. Used to have this on VHS.

@ZoN3 i know what you mean! I've been searching for it for the past three years! Everyone i asked didnt know what i was talking about and thought i was dreaming it! that melody that they were singing at 6:00 was the one of the only thing i could remember, besides the dragonfly and the sunshine bottles.

I've been looking for this since I was a kid! I remember having this on a compilation VHS back in the day. God knows what it was called! But thanks a lot for uploading this, it was great to hear the sunshine song once again! Used to be my lullaby as a kid.

I read about this cartoon in Leonard Maltin"s wonderful book about the history of animated cartoons. Unlike Leonard though, my local affiliates never ran these Van Beuren cartoons.

This was actually a subtle theatrical "promotional film" for Borden's Milk (without ever mentioning their product), first released in January 1935, later reissued as part of the Van Beuren "Rainbow Parade" series [minus Borden's "sponsorship"]. The cartoon you're thinking of, 'nodlon' , is "To Spring" (1936), an MGM "Happy Harmony", the first cartoon directed by William Hanna {officially credited to Hugh Harman & Rudolf Ising, who produced it}. 'tvdays' probably has that in his collection...

I remember seeing this as a kid! The ending seems remarkably similar to The Beatles' Yellow Submarine, which came out 30+ years later.
Do you remember a similar cartoon about Spring coming and these elves under the ground had to make the flowers come up, but winter was still trying to stop Spring
and the elves had to work really hard to make the flowers come up? I'll never forget that one, wonder if the same guy that did this one did that one! I have no idea what the title is!
