@Vortex i have a K&N filter installed and i drilled 3 rows of holes into the sides of the air box lid and it gave me a slight improvement in throttle response and a nicer sound overall. i also felt that it was a bit easier to go from 140 to 150km/h. but if u want to feel real improvement u need a bigger carburetor and a racing exhaust. this in combination with the K&N will significantly improve EVERYTHING!!! ;-)

pacovl46 , nothing WRONG with that, if that's what you are into. For ME, it's a silly waste of time and money. I have 2 days track time riding a stock CBR 150, vs modified CBRs , I know some things.
Modified motorbikes with loud exhausts do nothing to win the hearts and minds of the general population. Most people hate them.

@jimbeamm36 u gotta be joking mate! everyone knows that the stock bikes r restricted in their performance. especially the cbr 150 r because they're made in thailand. for example there's a rubber sitting in the air filter box which restricts airflow and the exhaust system is restrictive, too. what's wrong with putting a nice exhaust and a K&N air filter on it to reveal it's true potential?

does changing only the k&n airfilter have any significant change in the hp or top end?

Do you think you are smarter than 450 HONDA engineers who perfected the CBR 150 for preformance, reliability and economy? the CBR 150 R is nearly PERFECT off the showroom floor. Go ahead and waste your money on after market parts.I will spend my money on GAS and RIDE my CBR 150 in stock form as you sit around waiting on after market crap.Dare to TRY to catch up with me?

I am using a 1 7/8" dia x 4" round (straight) K&N filter. You can find these for sale on-line.

Thanks for the reply.
The after-market CDI easily allows the motor to rev @ red-line vs stock, and notice I stay in the upper rpm range (mid +) than I used to during my rides. However, not sure of any hp advantages. I'll have to run it on a dyno.
