@animaljp3 I don't know that Jack mis-read the data. Data can be interpreted in different ways. He may be correct. I prefer to believe others. All you state concerning Jack Horner is correct. I didn't mean to put him down and was perhaps a lttle flippant in my first comment. He is well qualified. I just don't see how an animal as large as T-Rex for reasons that have been well stated could have been a pure scavenger.
@jimidee33 Jack horner also says t rex had small eyes( they were still big enough for a good retina) small arms (no need like in hyeanas) and slow speed because of almost equal upper and lower leg bones and not much ankle and large size. (It had huge leg muscles and was aerodynamic as it could) Jack thought all of the non- parethisised reasons and more evidence t rex was a scavenger. he misread the data.
@animaljp3 Jack Horner did not look at the evidence, he made some assumptions based on his beliefs. The olfactory space for example that T-Rex has. Modern scavengers that purely scavenge are small relative to predators. Lions scavenge and kill. So do hyenas for that matter that by the way have a very keen sense of smell much like T-Rex.. I think T-Rex was a predator and a scavenger. Many others do as well, who are more knowledgeable than I.
@jimidee33 no top carnivore eats another top carnivore because there is to little energy from the hunter's prey (where the energy comes from). Also, spinosaurs could rip with jaws and claws. Spino was weaker for its build, but it was bigger by at LEAST 10 feet giving it more muscle mass. Either could win.
@jimidee33 jack horner looked at evidence that he thinks is enough for scavenger t rex. He Tryed his best, and you yell at him through a computer. show evidence. (i think t rex would scavenge and hunt, like most animals.) Jack thinks arms are needed on land hunting, but hyeanas do not need them.
@jimidee33 Jack Horner looked at the evidence and came up with his best jugment. Where is your evidence? Jack thinks t rex could not hunt without arms but hyeanas are great hunters without using arms. Evidence, not belief.

@animaljp3 I am not yelling at Jack through a computer. I don't agree with his "assumptions". That is all.

@CobraGMW2 the sail would break over the vertebra in most cases, not through the spinal chord.
