I don't like Coome if Fault shoes. They are pretty, but they don't look like Tango shoes. They look like those pretty shoes that we buy to go to a wedding party or to a speacial occasion. I prefer the most typical models, they look like really dance shoes.

It is all about perception how "dance shoes" should look and they have changed many dancers' perception on that , giving in addition their stylish fashionable shoes a "fit-like-a-glove" quality in comfort. Like or dislike them they are certainly a revolutionary and a positive change in the dance shoe design that made history.

I couldn't agree more with you, Julia. Last September we had a tango salon with some reserved space on a side balcony where they sold hand made design tango dresses and Comme-il-faut shoes from a local importer. The ladies just went crazy and bought whatever they could afford, and still talk about the fine opportunity to get those goodies. This happened in Groningen, the Netherlands.

I own several makes of tango shoes, and I have to say, that Comme Il Faut have absolutely the best engineering of any. They are perfectly designed to keep you on the absolute dead center of your balance. That said, I usually put cloth-covered gel inserts under the ball of my foot, which extends my dancing time by hours. I have always changed shoes once or twice during a long milonga just to keep the "hot spots" from being able to create any sort of blister or sore.

I had the pleasure of wearing a friend's pair the other day. I must say, not only are these things sexy, but they are absolutely amazing quality and surprisingly well balanced and comfortable. I have been spoiled and fully intend to purchase my own pair in the future!
