I'm making these videos to try and show beginner guitar players the problems that I have when learning a new song from reading the tabs to finger positioning and chord structures and any other problems I encounter along the way. It's not supposed to be a lesson on how to play the song, that's done much better by David Hodge on www.guitarnoise.com website. It will hopefully show that you're not alone in having these problems. Don't get so frustrated and impatient that you put the guitar down and never pick it up again - you will regret it in years to come....

  • Hey Ferdy, thanks. I enjoy making them...just can't stop the rambling, can I... Motivation, yes. Teacher, hmmm don't think so. Quick learner - ha, your so kind. Thanks.

  • great video concept dylan . nothing happens overnight on guitar.

i bought 3 guitars for my niece and nephews but kids attention span is so short these days i wasted my money.

if you want to learn guitar , you need to expect it to take at least 6 months to a year before you can confidently play any song without to many mistakes.

  • Hey how's it going? I bet it's amazing how many guitars are bought and just lie around not being played. I really wish I'd had learned to play twenty or more years ago...but no looking back just forward.6 months to a year...Oh dear... but I'm not giving up now.... :-)

  • Dylan .. i like to just make it up as i go along !...it may not be right but ! it makes singing and playing it a lot eazy'er .. ha ha ha ... good vid though !! keep up the good work !!!

  • Yeh, I like to do that to, but I run out of chords...:-(

    Thanks for the comments. Enjoy....

  • I always enjoy your videos Dylan... especially the rambling! Whilst you may not be the world's greatest guitar teacher (yet!), your motivational skills are excellent! I'm sure a video such as this would be very beneficial to a beginner who's on the verge of chucking it in. Look forward to your next vid, which shouldn't be long as you're a quick learner. 5*****
