"Captan", The Huntington Village NY Violinist

This Gentleman can be found playing his Violin Saturday Evenings in Huntington Village (across from Honu) on NY Avenue. His music is quite beautiful, if one actually finds the time to stop and listen. I had the pleasure of speaking with him as well... His name is Mamdouh Captan, but goes by the name "Captan". He is of Egytptian descent and his repertoire spans the styles of a multitude of cultures including Indian, Mexican, Italian,Spanish, Middle-Eastern, American & Greek. He reads no music and plays everything by ear. Truly a divine gift. He's had quite an interesting "journey" thus far.....
