Oh my god, did you all see Gaga at the American Music Awards? She looked fantastic and she sang so well. Best of all, her performance was seen by hundreds of millions of people all over the world. I wanted to see Roisin but she wasn't there because SHE WASN'T INVITED -- Why? BECAUSE SHE IS NOT FAMOUS AND HARDLY ANYBODY KNOWS HER -- Rock on Lady Gaga Forever!!!! Don't hate haters!!! Ha Ha!!! I laugh in your faces~~~

there's no comparation with gaga 'cause they sing different rhythms and of course different styles.

Indeed, the only similarity is their interest in flamboyant fashion... but Roisin is more avant-garde/modernist, whereas Lady Gaga is much more of a post/deconstructionist.

The difference, quite obviously, is that Lady Gaga is a newer artist... but, in my opinion, a very talented one. But she is, after all, working in a somewhat different genre--Roisin is coming from more of a funk/disco background, whereas Lady Gaga is more purely dance/electropop, though still in love with Queen (listen to her acoustic stuff, the influence comes out quite readily).

Roisin is more elegant; I would compare Lady Gaga more to camp.

BS! how are they "equal?" Musically, Roisin is simply more talented (fashion aside)--it's not even arguable. I wouldn't mind Gaga's overconfidence so much if her music actually lived up to it.

No one compares to Roisin. Lady Gaga sells a lot of records, but unfortunately she is an over-styled shell of an artist who is all image and very little substance. Her music doesnt live up to her image.
Roisin was innovating while Gaga was still a little girl taking piano lessons.

Roisin Murphy is a true artist, in my mind their is no comparison. I was listening to Roisin before Lady Gaga even decided to make an album. Lady Gaga's songs (although they are foot tappers) are shallow and somewhat perverted and the videos are worse. Whilst Roisins songs are quite artistic and lovely not skanky and shocking. Lady Gaga can only sing one genre where Roisin has sung an array of different genres and types of music, pushing herself as an artist. Gaga is not even in Roisin's league.

Comparing is pointless. They have similar styles and all, but only because both are artistically inclined and are not afraid of showing it via fashion. No one copied anyone's style. Both are amazing, thus they are equal.

Roisin is actually very oritinal and authentic and very cool in her interviews! lady gaga just ripped her style off completely, has the most annoying way of giving interveiw and a total idiot who tries so hard to be "cool" she looks desperate!
