I was able to capture a bit of video of the bright comet McNaught. I describe the comet and talk about where you can get more images online. The URL I mention is http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/.
I suggest that any real astronomer would do the same to limit the time needed for the eyes to adjust for viewing. BTW, I cannot explain why he is using lights indoors as this would defeat the purpose of the dark walls.
Great glimpse at McNaught! A quiz for those watching (hopefully to be answered by Phil?) -- why the dark walls in the background? a) astronomer's hobby room b) home movie theater c) excentric interior design
This Comet is visible Through this week so this is not the last chance to see it...(u have corrrected this in ur blogand could have commented here...)
i havnt had any luck in spotting this comet but i hope i have better luck tomorro :D
it happened on my birthday

(Sigh) ... I guess we'll never know.

Ok, I've just seen the follow-up. Now I know it's c) -- and I guess it's a bedroom? Very slick!
