  • It's impressive that he actually KNOWS his name and will answer the direct question. This isn't simply mimicking what he hears. Smart parrot!

  • Congo African Greys in NZ cost $5,500.00 each. They are well worth it though, my baby grey is the best thing that ever happened to me, hes so entertaining and gorgeous.

While it is true they will prefer one person over another they will adapt and bond to anyone that put in the love and care. I have taken in two African Greys from homes that could no longer take care of them. I had no trouble with either of them within a weeks time they we interacting with me stepping up, talking ,everything.

  • Do the males have a brighter color to them.

  • @TheGmodModder Not at all, they are flock animals. They will interact with anyone who puts in enough time and effort to earn their trust.

  • Yes...but as soon as you get one...you forget all about the money and just amaze yourself at what an amazing creature these birds are!

  • Adopt a parrot (but be warned, if you want to teach a parrot to speak get one that is very young or hand raised by yourself)

  • keep this in mind, taking them from a store, is usually taking them from their family, Most parrots only bond to one person/animal

  • awesome whistling
