As I was a little boy in a small village in Germany in the fities and sixties my female cousin played this song day for day on the record player. It was also broadcasted by the AFN we used to listen. I've never heard it all the years.
It is a great pleasure for my to find this video here.Thanks to Memories 64.

Lucky guy. Seems looking back, things weren't too bad then, compared with now. At least we had country singers then. Can't seem to tell the difference nowadays.

As i watch this classic video i realise how priceless it is. Ferlin Huskey is now gone home and there will never be another live performance of this great song by theses two awesome country performers again. Thank God for Youtube ! Ferlin lives in classics like this one.

I was raised on Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Bill Anderson and Jim Reeves. There is NOTHING out there that comes remotely close. All generic, Top 40 sounding type stuff.

@goneoverboard2 Country was still doing OK until the turn of the century. Then it went to hell in a hand basket. When I post a comment stating that Taylor Swift, Zack Brown or Darius Rucker isn t country, you should read the hate mail I receive. By the names they call me I should be insulted. But, I' m not. Just shows they know not what they talk about. LOL
