Most Brown Bears catch salmon by chasing them in shallow water. This old boy found it easier to ambush his dinner

  • Kodiak Bears or Costal Brown Bears are indeed a subspecies in the Grizzly family. However, they look distinctly different from the interior grizzlies one would see in places like Denali. Somehow calling it a Kodiak Brown Grizzly Bear seems cumbersome, but it would be accurate.

NOT at all accurate ! BOTH are brown bear subspecies. Only the bears of the Kodiak archipelago are kodiaks, ALL other brown bears in N. America are grizzlies.

  • that's not a kodiak, it's a grizzly

  • Awesome! He only tried once to get his lunch. :D

  • cameraman is lucky that bear didnt just jump over and kill him
