Bel Without A Cause

"Bel" is the superior unit for "decibel". 10 Decibel are 1 Bel. The performance "Bel Without A Cause" is sympathetic to volume and the similar sounding film by Nicholas Ray. There was an uncompleted cello used combined with a prepared plastic stick as a bow. There was a small percussion synthesizer attached at the plastic stick. Each touch with the cello was triggering the synth. and caused a sound. There were two subsonic microphones attached on the cello's body. Sometimes the blowing of the wind through the hollow body of the instrument can be heard. There was no looper used. The complete session was about 55 minutes
