On May 28, 2008, Memorial week, hundreds of protesters surrounded the National Guard Armory in Teaneck, NJ to protest the occupation of Iraq. They demanded: Bring all of the troops home NOW! Take care of the troops when they get here! De-federalize the NJ National Guard! Keep the money here for people's needs: housing, health care, education, and jobs. The protesters carried more than 4000 feet of banners (in 20 foot segments), with the names and ages of more than 4000 troops and 4000 Iraqi people killed in this illegal and immoral war. Speakers at a press conference at the demonstration announced the introduction of bills in the NJ State Legislature to de-federalize the NJ National Guard. This is part of a national movement to de-federalize the National Guards.

This was the Second Annual Memorial Week demonstration to Remember the Dead and Bring all of the troops home NOW. It was sponsored by Military Families Speak Out (Bergen County Chapter), Teaneck Peace and Justice Coalition, Bergen Peace and Justice Coalition, the Peace and Justice Coalition (NJ), and a host of community and religious groups. • It's Barry Soetoro's war NOW! And yes he has no vaild BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!! So put that in your PEACE PIPE and SMOKE IT!!! LMFAO!

  • lets drop napalm on these hippies. i was in iraq last year on deployment and we join to kill, not to promote peace. by the way where did the yellow kids come from, what did the napalm bombing runs in 'nam miss thier families' villages?

  • The soldiers only bring their weapons. everything else is provided. Instead of protesting, do something to support the soldiers, raise some money, collect some gifts for their children, do something productive.

  • This is a horrible video. Our citizen solders are fighteing for us, so we can sleep safely at home in our nice warm beds. If we don't fight them there, we will fight them here. Wich is much worse. Support our soldiers. Support the war, support the families!!
