Whatever you may think of collections of wild animals, I am of the opinion they can play an important role in educating people (especially the young) of the need to conserve biodiversity.

Eagle Heights, http://www.eagleheights.co.uk/, tries to educate the audience with each display. They also raise money for cheetah conservation, both of which have their value.

This video shows one of their cheetahs running after a dead chicken. If my calculations are correct, the animal averaged about 65 KPH (40 MPH) over the distance shown here (180 metres in 9.9 seconds). It is, therefore, likely the cheetah hit a top speed in excess of my calculations for the average.
