Check also part 2 of the video under the same title. NHL legend, future hall of famer and veteran goaltender Martin Brodeur, of the New Jersey Devils, during the pre-game warm-up / practice at ScotiaBank Place in Ottawa on March 17, 2011 (Devils @ Senators 3/17/11). The native of Montréal, Québec was selected 20th overall in the 1st round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils. Brodeur is regarded by many as the best goaltender in NHL history winning three Stanley Cups and four Vezina trophies as the NHL's best goaltender. Brodeur is the youngest goaltender in NHL history to reach the 300, 400 and 500 regular season win plateaus and is the only goaltender to reach 600 regular season wins. Brodeur has won 40 or more games in a season on 7 different occasions including 48 in the 2006-07 season. Brodeur also won the goal medal for Canada at the 2002 and 2010 winter Olympics. In November 2009, Brodeur broke the record for most minutes ever played by an NHL goaltender. The following month, Brodeur surpassed Terry Sawchuk's record for most shutouts with his 104th regular season shutout with a 4--0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. To add to Brodeur's numerous accomplishments, the man also won the Calder Trophy for the top rookie in the 1993-94 NHL season. His father, Denis, was a former goaltender who helped Canada win the bronze medal at the 1956 Olympic Games in Cortina D'Ampezzo, Italy and a longtime photographer for the Montreal Canadiens.

  • On the topic of his Old School Style...look at the inner-sides of his pads the're PEPPERED (0:43-0:44)

  • I love how when the one-in-a-million puck gets by him, he looks around all confused as if to say "what the fuckk??"

  • @abailadera yea this is very true. I was an old school/hybrid style of goalie growing up. I sold the vaughn legaceys and bought RBK. Almost blew my knew out the first game. Now im having hip pain from the butter fly routine iv learned to do. There is so much science behind goalie equipment now but your right. These younger goalies dont last. Look at Dipeitro lol

  • Wow, he is sporting the Bauer skates. I did not expect that at all, Thought he would hate the tall cowl on them. Wow. Great vid. Thanks.

  • @bergeronhl Dude your not alone anymore. LOL I play like him too :p Some people when they see me play said that i was doing marty style lol

  • Im selling my marty mask in Ebay.

  • You can watch on his style that he has been in the game for many years, he i stiff in the style and if you se another goalie i is more losen up in his style, but fuck that he has lasted for many years in NHL so his style must work ;)

  • Most people don't know this but Brodeur was butterfly goalie when he entered the NHL but he got an operation in both his knee witch forced him to play this style....I'm pretty sure he doesn't regret it a bit now.

  • Name of songs please :)

  • second song name .. ? any one knows?
