With all that has been recently taking place with Tiger Woods and the uproar of media attention, I couldn't help but notice a fundamental issue that seems to be missing in the middle of the confusion.

  • And life expectancy couldn't have been longer than thirty years.

  • Your math skills... seem to be at par butt your research of the bible needs to be more priority. If you remember the full story then let me ask your a couple of questions; just a little quiz. [1]How were they occupied during that period... in terms of their travel route? [2] What was their sustenance for survival during the 40 years? Please get back to me soon and, oh yeah, God Bless You in His perfect love.

  • First of all, to avoid missunderstanding I'm not an atheist and not a believer either. I use the term "God" as a synonym for natures laws that binds the universe.

    It has been a long time since I read the bible, a very long time and I recall the things that made me raise an eyebrow.

    So please if you could enlighten me I would be grateful, I really want to continue this discussion.

  • I appreciate your kindness and openness to discussion and want you to be true to your path. In regards to their traveling pattern, Israel had deterred from their faith in God and remembrance of His deliverance of them from Egypt, resulting in a 40yr, 360 motion. During that time period, as repenting hearts would permit them, they petitioned God for their basics, food. It was then provided; whether by migrating birds carrying bread, yeasts in the desert, or the meat of game birds;

  • So what you're saying is that they had to wait untill the Isreali had repented?

    A people that according to the bible have been slaves for generations HAS to be weakend by the endless labor and malnutrition. Being that weakened it is impossible to survive for 40 years.

    Even though you say they got their food from birds, you can't survive on faith. Having such a spent body and such a low life expectancy. It seems to me that only Moses could have survived if indeed the story is true.

  • So the bible is a historical documentary.

    You have to agree though that some of that is written there is a little unrealistic. Moses took 40 years to take his people from Egypt to what was it? Jericho if I remember correctly. How far can that be? No more than 500 km.

    If you're walking at a pace of 2 km/h that speed is not even unreasonable. You walk for six days out of seven. That is 12 km per week.

    12x4=48

    48 km in a month.

    48x12= 576

    576km in one year

    And it took him 40...
