  • Very cool. Thanks to you or to whoever put the slideshow together. My wife walked in and said "Oh, I heard my favorite song and thought you were in my mp3 folder."

  • @medicinegone thanks friend!

  • Its not official, and one mountain doesn't belong to two country. Who says kanchanjanga belongs to india? totally wrong information

  • @prem48784 Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world with an elevation of 8,586 m (28,169 ft) and located along the India-Nepal border in the Himalayas.

  • Great Video.

    I also like the music.

    What "song" is this?

    Mozart?

    Please answer. Thanks. a lot.

  • List of Mountain in Pakistan

    World Rank ----Rank (Pakistan)---Name----Height (m)-------Location

    2---1--K2---8611---Karakoram Baltoro Muztagh

    9---2 -Nanga Parbat----8126---Himalaya

    11--3--Gasherbrum I(K5)---8080---Karakoram, Baltoro Muztagh

    12--4--Broad Peak (K3)---8051---Karakoram, Baltoro Muztagh

    13--5--Gasherbrum II (K4)--8035--Karakoram Baltoro Muztagh

  • @menukjau You cannot imagine the mammothness of K2. Its immense at its extreme. K2 has never been climbed in winter. Annapurna fatality rate may be higher than K2 but I bet it may be even lesser than 10% during the summer/spring time as compared to K2's around 30% . Take comparison on equality basis.

  • Breathtaking !

  • And mont blanc rises 4500m from its base XD ;)

  • thanks good show

  • @admx94: No games. Rakhiot-Nord face of NANGA PARBAT rises gradually 7000+ m from Indus River Valley (1000 – 8126 m). Nanga Rupal face has almost 5000m of VERTICAL wall above Rupal valley, and THIS is impressive. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, and much likely, Rakaposhi, Ultar Sar, Haramosh also rise to over 6000m from their base. These are often huge massifs, so they can have also very long slopes. Anyway, your Denali rises not more than 5900 from the lower point. Himalayan Range is incomparable.

  • @prem48784 your an idiot its on the border between nepal and india therefore both countries hold ownership. you have the wrong information.

  • a Russian winter expedition2012 is on its way to summit k2. This is the first time a team has dared to climb k2 in winter. my 2 friends are serving this expedition....best wishes for the team

  • @admx94 I don't know... I couldn't tell, since I haven't been either on Denali or Himalayas or Karakorum.

It kind of makes sense what you're saying considering that the Tibet Plateau starts at 5000m or so, leaving 3-4000 meters elevation gain from there. (Same goes for other locations).

Well, in the Canadian Rockies you can pretty much have the same prominence.

The difference is perhaps from the himalayan et al summits you would see 3000m peaks far below as opposed to similar height (latter)
