If you take the bed off completely (disconnecting the wiring harnesses and grounds) and you go to test the new pump. It will not prime or work without the ground reconnected. So... hook up the ground, see that it works, disconnect it, then put the bed back on.
With the tailgate off and two people lifting it's easy...

I have a 2000 s10 zr2 and my fuel pump wont turn on. the manual says the fuel pump test terminal is under the hood on the drivers side. But cant find could you make a video on where the fuel pump test terminal is for me?
Thanks

This happened to me. My truck kept stalling as if it wasn't getting any gas. The computer kept shutting my truck off. I had someone hit the bottom of the fuel thank, while someone else cranked it over and over and it started right away. Now i am looking to replace the fuel pump. Great video. Do you have a video of the fuel pump being replaced.

Don't ever install an Airtex fuel pump in a GM,nothing but failures and install a Delphi or AC Delco fuel pump instead.Change the fuel filter too, voids the warranty if you don't

This doesn't work with a crew cab because the fuel pump is only partially exposed after you lift the bed.

this will not work on a blazer because a blazer bravada jimmy and certain jimmy envoy that look the same as a blazer can not lift it bed. because there isn't a bed on a blazer. I have change my fuel pump before by myself and I just jack it on ground level like using a floor jack not a car service jack that the shop uses because dropping a fuel tank from 10 feet in the air with full gas is way more dangerous than doing it on the ground.
Hey there. The fuel pump should run when you first turn on the key, if the computer doesn't see an ignition signal (rpm's) after 2-3 seconds it will shut the fuel pump off for safety. Then you would have to cycle the key off and then back on to get it to run again. Here's a trick that might help, have someone crank the engine over and then you beat on the bottom of the fuel tank while it's cranking, if it starts & runs, you need a new fuel pump. Hope that helps
