  • What happened to the awesome guitar solo!?

  • @KeybladeMaster87

These arent based on the Sega CD/PC versions, their based on the Genesis (and mostly SNES) original versions

  • I approve. Still lacks the "edge" the genesis had though :P

  • Well, they had the second part of New Junk City in, but other than that nothing from Special Edition.

  • @edward18517 You have to remember though that pretty much anyone who grew up playing these games on a Nintendo system wont really notice a difference as there really doesn't appear to be one, leading me to believe that the SNES version may have been what the HD version was based off of (that's definitely the case with the music). The lack of MORE than a few frames of animation does suck, but im mostly upset by the lack of ALL the Sega CD content and the lack of "Who Turned Out The Lights?".

  • The Genesis version of this song is by far the best.

  • The perfect song for free-falling. Can't wait to make a Team Fortress 2 remix of this.

  • It's not a matter of running fine, it's a matter of frames missing. That isn't lag. There just simply isn't as many pictures in most of the animations in HD that are present in the original giving a much more jittery effect to most of the characters in HD. I still have Special Edition and the Genesis version. Played it recently. It moves much better than HD ever has.

  • @edward18517 Depends, depends. And to be honest, the game runs fine for me. And "horrendous" is being overused here. Lag is not horrendous. Horrendous would be freezing. And I'm glad its been recreated well. Nothing will be as good as you remember it or as bad as you remember it. It's part of growing up. And frankly I never gave quite a flipping damn about art design anyhow. My first system was an N64, Donkey Kong looked like a kong, so he was a kong. Plain and simple.

  • I'm talking about the actual art for the game. The posters, the ads. For HD that stuff just looks flat-out horrendous compared to the original. For the sprites they're obviously graphically better than the original but even then it's hard for me to like HD's sprites better since it has such a horrendous framerate most of the time.

  • @edward18517 Yes, in the Genesis versions the characters look more like low quality inked sketches transformed into animation.

In this game it looks like they took those sketches and made miracles out of em.
