@andrewceg Not trying to be a dick but that story sounds made up to me. The Germans would have issued him a new manufacture rifle, not one 30+ years old. And the Russians wouldn't have let him use it in their service. They would have issued him an SKS or AK depending on when he went in, which sounds bogus anyway because they treated the Germans like rats for YEARS after the war.

Bolt actions are my favorite type of guns. Lever actions are also damn cool.

@andrewceg They are still made today actually in several variations. Our American 1903 Springfield and Winchester Model 70 are merely modernized, refined 98 Mausers.

btw: K98k stands for karbenier98kurtz, K98 is just a shorter way of saying it especcially if your not german.
