Canon 500D test - sprayer, cathedral, break

Can this camera take a photo while recording ?

Is there an automatic autofocus mode for the video with this camera ?

Can you see a difference between 720p and 1080p recording ? (fluidity of the video and Quality)

- Yes! But with 1 sec black on the Video (because of the shutter).

- No! Not really. Autofocus via button possible, but takes ages.

- Yes. 720p=30fps, 1080p=20fps

I recently purchased a canon 500d Kit. I don't know how to explain this. The problem with recording video is that for example if i am standing in the center and i have 6 vertically straight poles around me and I pan the camera fast, I get distorted images (the vertical poles look slanted). Is there a problem with my camera or am i missing something? Please Help..!

There's nothing wrong with your cam - it's a known issue of the 500D. Google for "Rolling Shutter".

looks good when not in full screen, i guess that is because my tft is native to 1080p res?

Hey please can you help me i have the same Camera but when i shoot in 1080p and export it on movie maker the "blackscreen"around the video takes over the rest of the video its really anooying please tell me how you export your video in 1080p Thx !
