all body parts certainly have functions, eyebrows probably protect eyes from sweat, i dont really know. Regardless of that, Society n its traditions/hard to break customs( i dare you to go out naked), has taught us that eyebrowless men are creepy. some weak willed ppl may use these vanity traditions in beneficial ways, hehe and we shouldn't judge weak willed ppl for that, we are all humans. most of us are very concerned about looks, society forces us to depend on such things to some degree.

thx for karate master bit but no offense, shavin only one eyebrow off sounds damned wussy..a statement sayin 'oh dear what if people look at my disfigured face'. its implying eyebrows are there to just look pretty, but in actuality they have many unconscious functions..such as general balance & sense of direction, so ones already thwarting spirit off course just to prove a point..just like Onsen here. if he really wanted to make a statement he should have etched a swastika 卍mark on his eyelids.

google him or check him out on wiki
check out his life, he stay in the mountain and shave off one of his eyebrows so he can't leave the mountain like that to see anyone thus must finish his training there

I have been waiting for Onsen to get back at all those guys for treating him like shit.
I know he's an ass sometimes but he's only trying to do his job and every one steps all over the poor guy - I'm glad he's get pumped to kick all their asses.
