@qendu I just grabbed the cicada off the tree. Nina LOVES them! If they are too high for her to reach, she just says, "Papa, get that cicada!" And, if I miss one and it flies away, she gets mad at me. ha ha
And, yeah, summer festivals with taiko drummers and dancers in yukata are one of my favorite things about Japan.

Nina looks to cute in her yukata and hair thing! ^^
I hope I can teach my child to like bugs someday, too. Only, I'm afraid of the ones that bite! In Texas I know the only poisonous spiders, but I don't know about any that bite! So while I'm here in Japan, I'm always afraid "Is this insect going to hurt me?"

楽しく!!
I used to catch cicadas all the time when I was little too!! I would even go around looking for their shells on all the trees! I'm glad to know I'm not the only brave girl who's adventurous enough to catch all sorts of bugs!
Nina-chan looks so beautiful in her yukata and matching hana kanzashi ♥
Beautiful upload geof, I still think your photos and videos are the best!

@zeroarashi Yeah, I grew up catching cicadas too, so it's great to be able to relive that experience through Nina's eyes. Nice to hear from you! Hope you are doing well!

Hello Papa Geofg!
I want to start off by saying that Nina is a beautiful and amazing child. :) Her Kimono and hairclip were very pretty as well. :D Nina gets me very inspired for my future, which I wish to be a Japanese Interpreter. I love when you post videos like these with festivals and fun things because it makes me that more excited to hopefully live there when I'm out of high school. Nina looks so happy with her family and life and it's amazing to see :) You guys are an amazing family. :)
