The second of a three-part documentary about the exodus of anglophones from Quebec, a result of the threat of separation from Canada. Part 2 is seen through the eyes of three professionals, including radio personality Terry DiMonte. They talk about feeling alienated and as they saw it the limited opportunities for English speakers in Montreal. Story, David Johnston; videographer, Phil Carpenter. www.montrealgazette.com

  • I am a montrealer of Irish descent, I love bill 101 because it keeps quebec from having it's culture ripped apart by imposing cultures from other countries. If you want to know what I'm talking about, visit Toronto, Markham and Richmond hill.,, this is our home and the only one we have and we want to keep it with our values and culturers.. Don't want to be like Toronto,

  • @navigarful

you talk about the west-islander culture ?

  • Let me tell you exactly how Quebec &$#@ed up. In Ontario we keep it very simple. Ontario is full of white Scots/Irish inbreeds who are racist, xenophobic, homophobic etc...Toronto on the other hand is full of immigrants. You can't be a visible minority in the rest of Ontario because your life would be hell. You can't be a inbred in Toronto because... well you're an inbred, you wouldn't like it. Quebec could have just said Montreal is for immigrants and we get the rest of the province.

You don't want it to be like Toronto meaning:

Bus drivers who are courteous, lower taxes, equality for all, respect for all, FREEDOM?? Okay, rot in backward Quebec.

  • @klyde2005

Your values and culture meaning: hate, corruption, very high taxes, racism is legal, mafia is legal, lazy welfare state, I hate your culture it is very negative.

  • @klyde2005 the problem is, bill 101 doesn't just make sure the french culture is safe, it snuffs out all the other ones, Montreal was a mosaic of peoples all under the 4 fleur-de-lys and happy. now it's french people under the same flag who have a chip on their shoulders and have made it socially and politically correct to openly discriminate and verbally abuse anglos, I mean they can't even get our nationality right, anglophones in Quebec aren't even english their mostly scots/irish

  • Vive le Quebec canadien!
