Here I am busting out another PR set for standing barbell curls. This video was taken from my phone, so the quality isn't the greatest. I do my best to keep any swing or momentum to a bare minimum (if any at all) but with the heavier weights, I find myself doing it a little bit. Overall, I feel like it is stilla good lift with pretty good form and my biceps were pretty rocked afterwards!

  • I know it's heavy, but it would be seriously impressive if you did it with less torso rock.Have you ever gone for a 1rm?

  • @schnarf5 - I realize that, however, there does come a point when you get more benefit/growth/stimulation from a lift with a little loose form than you do with much lighter weight and much stricter form. It all depends on what the ultimate goals are.

  • Hey buddy , put your body weight up on the video , then I'll tell you whether that is good or not .

  • @getout84 - Why would that matter? I think curling 160lbs for 6 reps as a natural athlete is pretty darn good nomatter how much I weigh

  • To some of the comments below - I completely agree that the form isn't 100% strict, but that was the point. I don't think my form was terrible, I mean, this set still cooked my biceps, but there does come a point in time when you need heavier weight and a little loose form to continue to give the muscles stimulus to grow...

  • Hey at 210 pound i can curl 165 for a set of 10 but it does not look all that pretty.

  • i think the form was fine. idk what these fags are talking about

  • Don't listen to these haters. They just feel worthless because they see a guy who is curling a weight that is near their own body weight/they can never dream of curling. His form isn't even bad, I'm sure half of you do that with your 70 lbs barbell.

  • @rctriplefresh5 It's impressive for sure& it's only moderate cheating considering the ridiculous things I've seen in gyms, but if 0% is cleaning it with back-breaking lean back& half bent arms& perfect is 100% I would say a lil' lower than 99%, around60-70%.That's just my opinion, &when the weight is over half body weight keeping form perfect is less necessary. Its possible to do heavy curls with negligible torso movement, you have to get your feet set right& contract your abs& the bar supertight

  • @schnarf5 his for was 99 percent strict....it was impressive no natter ho u slice it bud.....

  • Quit wasting your time replying to youtube critique know-it-alls lol...that's truly impressive and you developed your arms well. Good job mate.

  • @Sporto4323 For all those saying your form isn't tight enough.. They know nothing lol. Thats pretty minimal as far as "Cheat curls" go anyway. Nice work man. Keep it up.

  • his arms> all the muscle on your body, end of story, he OBVIOUSLY knows what he is doing

  • @Sporto4323 Nah your form is fine dude, when you have that much weight out in front of your body you have to counter balance it.

  • omg, there are so many freaking trolls on the internet these days.

i'm sure none of you weak little shits weighing 150lbs can even curl half that
