Now available at: http://www.ergonica.net/catalog/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&am... . Bonnie helped us design and test this new Ergonica Wheelchair Weed Twister. As most quadriplegics, Bonnie has limited use of her hands and arms, and this is one of very few tools she can effectively use to pull weeds and dispose of them all from the wheelchair in one operation, as shown in this video.
Previously, we also tested a longer 82-inch model. Your comments and suggestions regarding the best length for working from a wheelchair are invited. Currently available at http://ergonica.com/purchase.htm are several lengths: 36-42-48-54 inches. The 54-inch model, AKA the Dual Grip Weed Twister, includes a bar grip on the shaft to facilitate twisting with both hands. The newest model is the Turbo Weed Twister which attaches to your drill and lets your drill do the twisting. Great for quickly removing bermudagrass weeds! As Bonnie says: You can do it - Yes you can! Says I: Si se puede! (No wheelchair? Works great for folks on their feet, as well!)
If things work out, we should have the 60-inch Wheelchair Weed Twister available for market in 2-3 months.

Do you think 60 inches is a good length for this tool?
