@katepilarr perhaps the czech people invented the polka, however people all over Europe now dance it. (also America) and they all have their different styles. They even dance Polka in Sweden, and their style of dance and musical instrumentation is very different. The Swedes believe that Polka was brought to them with the Polish court.

this sounds like a Swedish polka played on the nickelharpa, the Swedish call it "polska" (Sweden says it came from the Polish court in their country.)

sorry guys, but this is perhaps an american ballet version of polka, but certaily not proper czech polka! /polka is a czech dance , not polish as lots of people tend to think/
