My grandfather was the breakman, conductor and engineer on the 819. This was back in the 1960's.

I got to see her at the NRHS Convention. I didn't get to see her run, but I did #1522-I come from a Frisco family, so I even got a cab tour.

I have relatives from Arkansas that rode behind ol' 819 to St. Louis. I think that this was the ride they were on.

Engine 819 is in the process of restoration, but the last time I was Pine Bluff it looked like a lot of the track around the old locomotive shops where she is stored isnt in good enough shape to move her much. I'll be down there soon and will try to check it out.

i watched this video over and over when i was little
And now the powers that be won't let the 819 out of the museum here in Pine Bluff. A true pity.
