Played through a '63 Fender Bassman with Weber California speaker and a '64 Fender Princeton with Weber 10A125 speaker. Lava Cables-Soar from guitar to pedalboard, Mini ELC on the pedalboard, Clear Connect from the pedalboard to the amps. Effects used include a Strymon El Capistan echo, Suhr Riot distortion, Fulltone OCD overdrive, and Sonic Research Turbo Tuner. Also on the pedalboard (but not used because I ran out of camera memory) are a Pigtronix EP-2 Envelope Phaser, Barber LTD SR, and Xotic EP-booster.

  • Hi Chris, I have a 7 string strat myself. Love your tone. I play 'metal' as some would call it and I'm looking to get a custom wound humbucker that would preserve the stratty tones but keep the low end balanced with the other frequencies. Thoughts?

  • @MoveoImago I can build something for you. Take a look at the videos for #171 and #165 to hear my two most recent humbucker/single coil bridge pickups. It would be a fairly straightforward pickup build, send an e-mail to chris[]ricecustomguitars[]com and we can work out the details.

  • The bass on that sounds amazing, massive low end.

Not bad for lower output pickups and .008 strings, eh? ;)
