  • As a raw vegan I would agree that meat once a week is not going to kill you since its a small amount. But from a moral stand point the act of killing puts primal dieters in the wrong. In this long debate I argue to "keep it simple stupid" what's easier picking fruit from a tree or hunting an animal? To hunt an animal you need a device to kill it, not to mention the meat spoils so soon, better invent something to keep it cool since we only need to eat a little meat a week. This process is takin

  • @Archamitect Thanks for your opinion...

  • @Archamitect And the idea of eating fruit off the tree is a myth. Fruit doesn't truly ripen until it falls from the tree and ripens naturally on the ground.... So as much as I love fruit ( I was once a 811rv too), I understand the fruit from stores is all picked under ripe and is less than optimal for my body..

  • Thanks for this video, I really liked the last few words about the "Vegetarian Myth." That book was what inspired me to go 100% Paleo. I just have one question. Paleo anthropologists agree that our ancestors cooked their food, and that this contributed to our evolution into Homo sapiens. Some Inuit and other Arctic tribes did eat raw meat (such as the liver of seals, and the eyes of caribou), but they mostly roasted it or boiled it. Would eating cooked meat really impact your health negatively?

  • @FemmeBleu I personally do not believe that cooking meat is harmful. Certainly cooking via high heat like grilling can cause a build up of carcinagins, but lets remember that humans advanced because of the ability to cook their food. Eating raw meat is more of a treat and only happens a few times a year...

  • what about parasites? thats literally the only thing holding me back from eating raw meat

  • freezing time alone does not kill worms in meat. The freezing temp is important for killing parasites in fish ,birds and beefs . Cultures have incorporated spices and herbs to help eliminate worms that do get in us .

I think its just much easier to wash a plant and eat it ,than go through the whole deal of freezing and spicing...raw meats on a regular daily basis now that we have evolved . We also don't have the HCL levels we once did centuries ago .

I would say a banana from the store is easier and safer to digest that a piece of meat, cooked or raw. I mentioned tree climbing because it's something most people did as kids for fun and its a way to obtain fruit. On the other hand I don't think MOST kids have fun killing animals to eat them raw (aka serial killers) when a kid kills an animal it's usually on a hunting trip with adults so it's heavily influenced. Do you enjoy the killing animals?

If it's 100% grass fed and organic, and the farm uses crop rotation so the animals are always eating fresh grass, the meat is almost immune to having pathogens, because when you do crop rotation, it doesn't allow the parasites to grow and develop.

  • @ChefFrankyG hey thanks for taking the time to reply :)

  • @scrambledeggsTV I am a chef of many things, including cooking.. This video is also 3 years old.. If I can speak for Daniel i would say he eats about the same amount of meat as i do.. We eat based on where we are and whats fresh. Maine winters.. eggs from my chickens, root veggies from local farms and lots of wild rice and as much wild food that has been saved from the summer harvest. Will be in California for 3 weeks pounding citrus, green juice, and sardines..

  • @ChefFrankyG absolutely, again I understand what you said, once a week, but most people who eat meat eat it most days if not every day dont they? daniel said in the video hes eating A LOT, surely that doesnt mean 4 times a month? I have friends and family that eat meat every day and im sure its very common, moderation is great, unfortunately its also sorely lacking, can I just ask if you only eat meat once a week what do you eat the rest of the time? I see you are a raw chef :)
