6hp Mariner/Tohatsu Does it Vibrate?

A lot of people are put off single cylinder 4 stroke outboards because of the vibration. I have been saying I don;t notice a lot of vibration when it is on my dinghy, but I don;t know what it would be like on an outboard bracket on a yacht.
Here, i've mounted the motor in a square pad attached to a frame with a 150mm x 50mm x 6mm piece of spring steel. If that doesn't vibrate, it isn't likely to vibrate a lot more on an outboard bracket.
I only ran it for a short time because I noticed the water barely covered the inlet.
It proves the point though. Look carefully at idle as well as at speed.

I don't know why people on youtube always brag about how their small outboard is better than yours etc... It not like a 6hp is meant for extreme speed or anything.

By the way, my Johnson 6hp IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOURS. IT CAN PUSH MY BOAT 16MPH!!!! THATS SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOURS WHICH CAN ONLY DO 15MHP!!!!!!!!!!!

I AGREE WITH YOU (happycanadia) 100% I love my 4.5hp mercury no matter how fast she goes small HP outboard are just to potter about the water at acceptable speeds :D

Hmmm, I didn't see any 'bragging' about anything. Just an answer to a request about whether this type of outboard would vibrate too much to be used on a small sailboat. And it looks like it will be fine for that use.

i have a 6 hp tohatsu4 stroke 2004 and blows that thing in the water but thats a nice moter my freind has a mercury 6 and my cuisin as a9.9 merc
