@surrealdub Read the comment. It wasn't aimed at anybody. The comment doesn't say @ at anyone. It's just in general, I've saw 12 year olds do it, and I've saw 18/19 year olds do it. It's ridiculous, if the kid listens to The VU at the age of 12 then I'm all for it, but I'm sure he/she can take a bit of constructive criticism, if they're listening to songs like Heroin, Sister Ray & Venus In Furs.

And it actually is something to like this song at that age during times of media brainwashing and half-assed mainstream pop. So why don't you blow off some steam in a more constructive manner.

@theballsack Ha, yeah sorry about that. It wasn't aimed at anybody in particular, just annoys me, it's not cool to go round saying you like bands like this just for a bit of recognition. You either love them or you don't and I for one cannot put into words my love and respect for The Velvet Underground and particularly Lou Reed, Sterling Morrison and John Cale.

Nobody gives a fuck how old you are, or who you listen to.
There's people who haven't even been born yet who will like The Velvet Underground, and that's almost a certainty. If you're 12 or 112 I don't give a flying shite, just enjoy listening to this phenomenal song.

@hatseplats Chrissakes. I love Velvet Underground, and I love this song, but denying everything modern is being just as blinkered as denying the past.
I don't understand this complete subscription to ONE genre of music in ONE era of music. Why pigeonhole yourself? There is greatness in all facets of music. Let that stuff in
