  • Body mass index does not distinguish between fat and muscle. If you are a 5ft 5inch male who as low % body fat and performs hypertrophy training, he could have a high BMI, which would classify him as overweigh or obese. BMI is a garbage method of testing body composition, and should be scraped from schools, workplaces and the community. What's wrong with body fat % testing and somatotyping?
