Two runs at Capitol Raceway on a 98 degree day. The clutch fluid overheated when I was staged over one minute while the starter gave me no signs. Next run the clutch caused a botched 1-2 shift, and now the clutch hydraulics are hosed.

  • What were the times?

  • me and my grandfather were there during corvette day

  • No disrepect meant, but you're not getting off the throttle fast enough on your shifts. I can hear the RPM rising while you clutch and THEN shift.

Try "preloading" the shift lever before you shift...just slightly...maybe three pounds of pressure. When the clutch drops, the shifter will "snick" into gear much quicker.

Clutch down---throttle OFF at the same time, QUICK!!!

    Yes...it takes practice.

There's nothing like a well shifted manual trans...

    Thanks for posting the video!
