Lincoln University welcomes admission applications from prospective freshmen anytime after they have completed their junior year in high school. The University employs the "rolling admissions" system in which there is no firm deadline for applications. However, students are strongly encouraged to apply by April 15 if admission is desired in August and by December 15 if admission is desired in January. Lincoln also accepts the General Equivalency Diploma.



In the second year of our LEAPS grant improvements were made that
enabled the recruitment of thirty-seven (37) students into the 2006 summer
bridge program. LEAPS will continue to enable Lincoln University to
significantly increase the number of science and mathematics graduates.
• Many students in the School are undertaking summer research internships
and presenting their experiences at poster sessions. In 2005-06 Academic
Year, 29 students presented posters at the Annual Science Fair at Lincoln
University, Philadelphia Alliance for Minority Participation, and the
University of Florida.
• Several faculty members attend professional conferences on a regular basis
and many have published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Faculty
members of the School have increased the number of grants submitted for
funding.
• We have continued our tradition of hosting an Annual Science Fair. This
year, students presented a total of twenty-nine (29) posters. The poster
session attracts visitors from various universities (and from other countries).
At the same time, we held our first Annual Science Conference adjudged a
success by students and faculty alike.
• In 2005-06, the School saw an increase in the number of graduates
matriculating into graduate and professional schools. (Three to medical
school in 2005-06 and this year another three have been accepted. Two
Lincoln graduates received the MD degree in the past year.)
• The School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics has concluded alliances
with other institutions both within and out of state. A Memorandum Of
Understanding (MOU) was signed with Pennsylvania State University
College of Medicine (PSUCOM) enabling collaboration in research for Lincoln
students and faculty, sponsorship of joint seminars, and increases in the
number of students attending graduate and medical school at PSUCOM.
Lincoln has signed an MOU with the World Communications Charter School
to provide dual enrolment programs for WCCS students in biology,
mathematics, and English comp. We hope that the arrangement will
increase the flow of well-prepared freshmen into Sci-Math majors at Lincoln.
• The Chemistry Department fulfilled the prescribed criteria for the American
Chemical Society certified completed B.S. degree.
