This is my favorite in the history of pairs skating. What they really was extra special.

Say what you will about "flow and glide," but this pair brought more heart and emotion to their programs than any pairs' team I have ever seen, in 1994 or at any time. Simply magical.

@sytec99 ALL skaters [except Nancy & Tonya] are all those things mentioned. IMHO&apparently the audience as well,felt they were robbed-which they were. No SBS 3X loops&out of sync SBS spins in BOTH the OP/ LP for G&G. It's easy to throw around a stick. Katia has the ugliest position w/her legs going into the split triple twist. Watch the awards ceremony. When M&D& B&E received theirs' there's a massive roar compared to polite applause G&G received.Katia said-in her book- the applause upset her.

@rickram1961 They got silver because they were second to G&G, as simple as that, not only according to the judges, but also according to the rest of the majority . G&G are the most gracious, elegant, beautiful, classy pairs skaters ever...........

There were certainly robbed of the Gold Medal. Gordeeva & Grinkov didn't give an inspiring LP. I prefer these two anyday.

Agreed! G & G won it mainly on hype and because they came back from retirement.
