Actually we started doing all the above after this video was taken. The coughing has completely stopped. We feed her in a plastic bin (actually a cement mixing pan, they are tough) because her hay will get her bedding all wet. We dunk the hay in a water trough we use just for dunking before feeding it to her. She has never coughed since. It is really hard to dunk it when it is -10 F degrees during the winter but she is worth the effort.

She is sensative to the dust in the hay. Over time it will ruin her lungs and she will will get a chronic cough and maybe heaves. You need to feed her on the ground in an open area and maybe wet down her hay.
