  • I was already concern that CTV news might become like Fox news of Canada and these video only increases that fear.

  • And what is really interesting is that they didn't even edit his little hissy fit out of the video before posting it on their website.

  • this newscast commentator acts like a fool, then someone obviously reined him in...

  • Yeah, isn't it nice to know that our national media representatives are so objective and professional.

  • isnt CTV owned in some way by an american corporation?

  • It's owned by Bell Globemedia - part of Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE). They also own the Globe & Mail, which is why you see people like Jane Taber in both places. They also own Sympatico and Globe Interactive. (Sorry, probably more detail than you wanted ;-) )

Your reaction to the news anchor's little mini-tantrum was exactly the same reaction I had when I saw it.

  • and when exactly did rupert murdoch buy CTV?

  • The interviewer doesn't seem to understand how the process works, and so he tries to point the finger at China.

Canada is a rich industrialized nation that is supposed to lead, and other countries follow. We are supposed to offer technologies to help poorer countries reduce their emissions, and we are supposed to do our part by reducing our own emissions.

The process worked in the past wrt cfc's & the ozone because Canada showed leadership.

The Harper government is showing no leadership.
