1/2 - Rudi Schuricke - Tango : Mein Herz weint (1940)

A beautiful composition recorded by Rudi Schuricke for Imperial. It is a tango called "Mein Herz weint" (My heart cries) released as a B-side to "Stern von Rio". Unfortunately the composer is not mentioned on the record (this seemed to happen regularly on the Belgian Imperial releases).

The movie is a collection of movie clips... the lady you will see the most is Marianne Hoppe in "Romanze in Moll" (Helmut Käutner, 1943 adapted from "Les Bijoux" by de Maupassant), furthermore Danielle Darrieux, Zarah Leander, Sybille Schmitz, Käthe von Nagy and others.

Sie sind aus dem Film "Savoy Hotel 217" (1936) mit Brigitte Horney und Hans Albers (sie tanzen jedoch nicht in der Szene).

Der Komponist dieses großartigen Liedes ist Leopold Paasch (1912—1988). Der Text stammt von Evelyn Rehs.
