@TwentyFourRoses If the blood gets in your mouth, its pretty gross id assume, but other than that i dont think so, not humans anyways.

used to have them here till they put in roads and people either ran over or poached (collected) them. flippers are stealing our wildlife so they can put them in prisons and make money from them. they are pretty destructive to the environment. imagine sleeping and having someone take your roof off and put you in another world that's not of your choosing...self centered greedy consumers don't care they just want.

I think the squirting blood defense is usually a last resort. I have caught a couple of coastal horned lizards without getting squirted. My generalization is "They won't squirt if you are gentle."

@Lucario1989 - yeah, we usually don't mess with them. also heard that dogs can get them to squirt blood.

so what u do is u go out for a car drive hoping to find any weird animal until u find one thats amusing? or how do u find these creatures... i never find them anywhere

@ernispel different ways. hiking, rock flipping, road cruising. getting a good field guide helps.
