Here is a great review of the 1979 Formula 1 World Championship. It was the year of Ferrari. Jody Scheckter became World Champion. 2nd became his team mate and one of my personal favourite ever in Formula 1, Gilles Villeneuve. Enjoy!!!
@Skull4Scavenger Postlethwaite, who designed the Wolf, said Hunt was lazy and could have got more out of the car had he tried harder...Hunt did have that idle streak in him, especially after 76
Great great video i have this on betamax ! . if you have the other one produced on the same year, please upload it ...name : a decade of F1 . 1970 -1980
Also the narrators of that era were real fun to listen to - 4:33 "Villeneuve had the nose lifted of his car when he and Clay Regazzoni claimed the exact same portion of the road at the exact same time" :)
@Skull4Scavenger Thanks for the explaination. It never made any sense what James said in the interview. With that explained, it seems much more clear to me now.
@RealRacer2442 It was a weak excuse. He did not complain about that when he drove a Mclaren-Ford M24/26 in 1976 and 1977. It was not different than. Big difference: James was driving a Wolf-Ford in 1979 and was not able to achieve anything with it. It was simply a bad car. (but I guarentee that Gilles Villeneuve would have forced better results out of that car than James did). It has allways been like that!!! James simply lacked the motivation of a younger driver to try to improve a bad car.

James Hunt's interview was quite interesting on what he said about the driver, not having control of the car and the car driving itself.
