Meteorites burn up in the atmosphere, however meteorites will be extremely cold when they reach the surface of the Earth, not HOT. This is because only the outside is subject to frictional stripping and heating. Plus, as other people have rightly commented, there is an absence of a crater. Even a small object the size of this would have burried itself well and truly into the beach.

You too, as others, are incorrect.
An object this size at the END result; would by necessity have been larger before its atmospheric plunge.
Do not be deceived, ever again, that a crater is a prerequisite for meteorite confirmation...and you need not ask me about that...ask her...Siobhan Cowton.

Of course the object would have been larger. Even if the object burned in the atmosphere to this size, on impact it would have 1) cratered; and 2) even if hot it would have cooled very rapidly. Before stark statements about this being a meteorite are made, evidence needs to be suggested. The novice opinion of a bystander, or of someone suddenly an expert on meteors by googling them, does not constitute evidence nor professional opinion. As a geologist, I see no evidence it is a meteorite.

@wilkinsondarren
It has had a geological once-over performed by the Israeli Geological Institute - their findings suggest all man-made.
Accordingly, I concur in your professional observation that agrees with other professional observations.
Whether they googled it or not, I do not know.
