The interview ended just 8 minutes later and we were out of there and onto our next destination: rehearsals. We arrived at the stadium and everything was set up. It was nearing 3 pm, so the place was buzzing with security and different cordinators to make sure everything was ready for tonight. I layed on stage with Joseph, looking up at the lights as he traced little circles in the palm of my hand. He knew how much it relaxed me and I was super nervous for tonight. I didn't think I would be but I felt as if I was going to wet my black leather leggings at any time and it was definitily a bad idea not to wear thicker socks in my black suede high-heeled boots. "Hi." Joe rolled onto of me on the stage so that his hands were on either side of me and he was hovering over me. I let out my usual obnoxious laugh and pulled his face to mine to kiss him, but we were so rudely interupted...
"Ahem." We turned our heads and Joe quickly rolled off of me, "Am I interupting something?" My mother asked. We laughed and Joe got up, then put his hand out to help me up.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Rosey came running to us and into Joe's arms. She's such a daddy's girl. He held her on his hip and I kissed Rosey's rosey cheeks. "Hello my beautiful baby girl." I said into her ear.
"Gamma gave me choc chip cookies and gummies." Rosey laughed.
"Grandma did what? Grandma knows how hyper you get."
I fave my mother a look and she put her hands up in defence, "She gave me the pouty face I couldn't resist!"
"She's 5 years old, can't you resist?" I asked.
"Not at all." My mother said pulling me in for a hug.
"Thanks for watching her." I hugged her back.
"Yeah, Mom. We really appreciate it." I loved it when Joe called my mom, Mom...it really made us seem like a middle-aged married couple, but I still loved it. He hugged my mom with Rose still on his hip and he kissed her cheek.
"It's no problem, I enjoy watching her. But she wears not only me out but herself too. She goes bouncing off the walls until she's out of breath and panting on the floor."
"Like she is now?" Joe asked. Rose had her head on Joe's shoulder, she was breathing heavily in and out, in and out. Her hair was matted with sweat on her head.
"Shit, mom!" I ran to Joe and took Rose in my arms. This was not normal.
"Watch your language, especially in front of Rosey!" My mother scolded me.
"Honey, breathe." I put two fingers to her neck to check her pulse. It was racing, all she did was run a few yards? I lifted her up and examined her all around.
"You worry too much, Dems." Joe told me.
I ignored him and continued looking her up and down. Her eyes were struggling to stay opened and her mouth was dry. She was wincing ever-so-slightly at my touch, like she was too weak to respond correctly to it. This was way to familar. "Cancel the show. We're going to the hospital." I said.
"What?! She's just sick." Joe raised his brows at me.
I hugged Rose to my chest and patted her back, "She's not just sick, she has my heart."
