No, we've used Delphi for this demo.

@LPChip it was my dream to be able to do one of these myself. Although these days i doubt i will have time to do it! Only a 15 y.o. - 23 y.o. really has the time+engery i reckon! Just out of curiousity, did you use C++ for the code?
-
Thanks. :) Glad you like it.
We started to work on it about 2 months before the deadline. This was more with having idea's and stuff like that. Took me about 4 days to finish the song. Programming and graphics took the entire 2 months, including improvements etc.

VEry nice! Hm... how long does it take to create such a demo like this nice one here? I suggest Months?

Now I see that FC's Second Reality was a child's play... compared to this.

@PrekiFromPoland Oh wow, thats a huge compliment. :) Thanks. I'm not sure if its entirely justified, because pc's are much faster nowadays, which allows for more stuff to do, but I suppose FC would've been able to make something similar as this.
Thanks for the compliment though. :) Means a lot to me. :D

I hope this isn't sacrilege to ask but how do the rules work for something like this. Are you allowed to use external libraries like libcaca or aalib? I am thinking not. Would that be considered cheating?

@unnaturaltragedy The rules are pretty relax in this manner.
The biggest requirement is that it must be rendered in a real dos window.
You get a filesize restriction, but if you can build a video playback and the video in this, thats perfectly alright. So libcaca and aalib are allowed, as long as you get the output in a real dosbox, not some emulated dosbox.
