"It was crazy, I saw guys duck dive, Kevin Johnson was late...and... on my trajectory. I could'nt change my way. Kevin dived then let the board sucked by the phenomenal power lip. it seems to me that I felt Kevin under my board. Then, I knew I was realy deep, I closed my eyes and I realised that I could hurt a boat or a surfer cause I didn't see a damned thing...I emerged full speed from the foam through the lip....amazing"

what beautiful conditions - almost glass with just a breath of an offshore to hold it up a bit longer. What an amazing recovery too - i thought he was a goner for a second there!
