i would not recommend this to fix your x-box, if you wanna over heat it to tep fix it just take it apart and unplug the fan, if you jam random crap in the blades to stop them all your doing is burning out the motor

@babagonouche lol it aint a temprorary fix it will damage your xbox 360 even more lol them people who smash there xbox are rich thats why you have to open up your xbox then you find 4 chips just and then i dont know what to do my dad fixed mine

Do not do this to your xbox guys! Yes it does work for a bit but it will come back. When you do this you are basically tricking your xbox into thinking it is ok when in reality its hurting it more. The problem with the E73 error is that the 4 chips on the mother board are overheating due to the poor ideas from Microsoft to have the sticky heat pads on the chips on the back of the mother board. You can permanently fix this if you watch "The penny trick". Its not hard to do.
