@montpelier42d Rory deserves better than to be called a "white blues player"...he was a genius. Every interviewer kept trying to get him to explain why he, a white guy, was so passionate about this music. He kept trying to tell people it was in his bones. He found the heart and soul of it because he was a human being wired for it. The utter genius was that he was able to show what was inside him. What's to understand more than that?

remember this one live at the albert hall....it was one before the end of the show.....i tell you the place just started to stomp...i wondered if the balconies would collapse...He really rocked as always.

Rory. Best white blues guitarist ever. When someone of the stature of BB King says, 'I copied Rory's licks', then Rory must have been doing something right. A boy from Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. I still can't quite figure out how he so understood American blues, made it his own music and contributed to it. Perhaps he was simply a genius, alongside Jemi Hendricks.
